Vodacom Tanzania expects H1 operating profit to fall by 25%

Vodacom Tanzania says it expects operating profit for the six months ending 30 September will be at least 25 percent lower than the operating profit of TZS 75.5 billion reported in the same period in 2019. In a trading statement, Vodacom said factors including barring customers in line with Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority requirements, as well as the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economy and business, will hit its H1 results.
