Vodacom Tanzania seeks deal for expansion

Vodacom is in talks with the Tanzanian government and other mobile phone operators about possible deals that will help the company expand in one of its biggest markets, Bloomberg reported. Vodacom Group CEO Shameel Joosub said should opportunities present themselves for consolidation in Tanzania, the company will have a look, if the regulatory environment is favourable. He said the company is having discussions with parties to see if there are opportunities.
