Vodafone accuses Telefonica of delaying fibre deployment

Vodafone Spain has upped the ante in its war of words with Telefonica and further explained the reasons behind its decision to lodge a complaint against the former state monopoly for anti-competitive practices, above all in the deployment of fibre optic networks. Vodafone Spain's director of legal services, Pedro Peña, accused Telefonica of "delaying, impeding and curbing the efficiency" of new generation network deployment in Spain, adding that it was a "scandal" that Telefonica refused to negotiate high-speed broadband offers above 30 Mbps, while it allowed Yoigo to sell its convergent
