Vodafone attacks BT for 'loading costs' onto Openreach

Vodafone has attacked BT for 'loading costs' onto national network unit Openreach, reports the Financial Times. Vodafone UK CEO Jeroen Hoencamp told the FT that it was 'unacceptable' for BT to load costs from other parts of its business onto Openreach, and then expect the rest of the industry to pay for this. He reiterated his calls for Openreach to become a separate company focused on deploying high-speed fibre to UK premises. Meanwhile, Vodafone Group CEO Vittorio Colao told analysts that Vodafone would consider becoming an investor in Openreach if it was spun off from BT, reports Light
