Vodafone, Ericsson show live operation of 5G prototype

Vodafone and Ericsson presented a first prototype of a 5G network and a first 5G application in live operation at the Ericsson Eurolab in Aachen. In cooperation with the Vodafone Innovation Park Labs, mechanical object recognition was demonstrated in real time. This was made possible by the use of network slicing as well as decentralised cloud technology.
