Vodafone expands into Azerbaijan with Azerfon

Azerbaijani mobile operator Azerfon, which uses the Nar Mobile brand, has entered into a non-equity partnership with Vodafone to make Vodafone products available to Nar Mobile customers. Azerfon, which is currently constructing a 3G network, will also be able to draw on Vodafone's expertise in rolling-out high-speed mobile data networks and mobile broadband products. Vodafone's products and services will be marketed in Azerbaijan under a co-branded approach, and as part of a phased roll-out Vodafone will provide Nar Mobile customers with voice and data roaming access across the countries
