Vodafone expands tax report with Luxembourg details

Vodafone has updated its annual tax report, giving a breakdown of how much it paid in tax in each country where it operates in the fiscal year to March 2015. In total, the operator paid GBP 9.3 billion in contributions to the public purse, down from GBP 14.8 billion the previous year, due mainly to the sale of its stake in Verizon Wireless. The total includes GBP 2.3 billion in direct taxes, GBP 1.3 billion in other non-tax fees and levies paid to governments, and GBP 5.7 billion in other indirect tax contributions to national governments.
