Vodafone eyes role in drone traffic management

Vodafone is looking to use its mobile network to help monitor drones in Europe, the Financial Times reports. In a response to draft regulations published this summer by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the company proposed using its mobile network to help control unmanned aircraft. The operator was invited in less than a month ago by the agency's top officials to discuss its proposal for drone management, the report said.
