Vodafone Germany abandons regional peering partnerships

Vodafone Germany has abandoned its regional peering partnerships, Golem.de reports. On Twitter, the CTO of the telecommunication service provider LWLcom posted a communication from Vodafone announcing that Kabel Deutschland AS31334 is "now fully migrated" to Vodafone AS3209. Vodafone added that it will start to "decommission all the peerings in the next few days". A spokesperson for Vodafone said that the company has recently removed the remaining regional peering locations from the former Kabel Deutschland network structure, among them a connection in Bremen.
