Vodafone Germany agrees fibre network deal in Celle

Monday 9 April 2018 | 13:34 CET | News
Vodafone Germany announced it has launched a pre-marketing campaign with the district government of Celle in Lower Saxony, Germany, for the construction of a gigabit-speed broadband network, as part of Vodafone's recently launched GigaOffensive investment programme. The district of Celle will invest EUR 46 million into the construction of a 3,000-km fibre-optic network, which Vodafone will lease out and operate, said Vodafone. Up to 13,000 households in Celle will have access to 1 Gbps internet after the network is built, with the first households set to be connected in 2019.
