Vodafone Germany debuts Crystal Clear LTE voice calling

Vodafone Germany has begun a limited release of Crystal Clear, a high-frequency voice calling standard over the LTE network. Crystal Clear calling is currently available to customers with Sony Xperia XZ handsets on the Vodafone LTE network throughout Germany. The new voice technology is based on the Enhanced Voice Services (EVS) codec, offering a frequency range of 20 kHz instead of the previous 7 kHz.
