Vodafone Germany announced that it has provided another 5.5 million cable connections for gigabit internet in Hesse, Baden-Wurttemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia. Vodafone has also launched a new, cheaper gigabit tariff, the GigaCable Max. The tariff offers unlimited internet at up to 1 Gbps and unlimited calls to German landline numbers for EUR 39.99 monthly, from the first to the last month of the contract.
The offer is valid until 05 April for new and existing customers and compares to the usual rate of EUR 69.99 per month for gigabit service. Customers who have already purchased a cable or DSL connection can switch to the new tariff. In total, 17 million households can now surf via Vodafone's high-speed cable network. By 2022, 25 million customers should receive a gigabit connection, according to Vodafone.
