Vodafone Germany eyes net cost reductions of EUR 100 million

Vodafone Germany is looking to cut costs by EUR 100 million a year. In an interview with the 'Rheinische Post' newspaper, CEO Jens Schulte-Bockum said that it was looking to reduce its EUR 2 billion a year operating costs by EUR 100 million net through the 'Fir for Growth' programme. Although compulsory redundancies can never be rolled out, Schulte-Bockum said that Vodafone would try its best to avoid this.
