Vodafone Germany rolls out LTE at up to 500 Mbps

Tuesday 11 April 2017 | 15:22 CET | News
Vodafone Germany has confirmed the launch of speeds up to 500 Mbps on its LTE network. The company announced last year tests aggregating spectrum in the 800, 1,800 and 2,600 MHz bands to reach half a gigabit a second. It's now deploying the technique across its 4G network. Previously its top speed was 375 Mbps, which is available to all Red and CallYa subscribers. In addition to faster speeds, the upgrade will also provide more capacity in congested areas.
