Vodafone hires former Sky manager as CMO - report

Vodafone Germany has appointed Sky Deutschland manager Marcello Maggioni as its new chief marketing officer (CMO), reports the 'Rheinische Post' citing unnamed company sources. Vodafone Germany's supervisory board will formally decide on the appointment on 09 December. Marcello Maggioni recently left Sky Deutschland, after working as its head of marketing and sales since 2008. Insiders at Vodafone interpret the appointment of Maggioni as a sign of commitment to its TV business.
