Vodafone Hungary, Nokia test platform to map disaster areas

Vodafone Hungary and Nokia tested in the Balaton area the Nokia Saving Lives platform which enables rescue teams to map disaster areas using a mobile network that uses drones equipped with resolution cameras or thermal camera for searching for survivors. The Nokia Saving Lives project is designed to provide more effective products using new technologies to explore disaster-stricken areas. The platform is based on Nokia's 'backpack-sized' 4G/LTE mobile network called the Nokia Ultra Compact Network, which allows professionals to create a 4G/LTE network within minutes.
