Vodafone Hungary to drop UPC brand from April 2020

Vodafone Hungary will stop using the UPC brand from April 2020 following the acquisition of UPC's Hungarian subsidiary, according to local publication HWSW.hu citing Vodafone Hungary CEO Amanda Nelsontol. The company will only sell services, including those previously offered by UPC, exclusively under its own brand. Vodafone Group acquired Liberty Global's German, Czech, Romanian and Hungarian subsidiaries for EUR 18.4 billion.
