Vodafone Iceland expects to launch NB-IoT devices in autumn

Vodafone Iceland expects to connect the first NB-IoT devices to its network in autumn 2017 following a pilot project with Huawei, according to an article on newspaper Vidskiptabladid's website. Advantages of NB-IoT systems are a great outdoor range and low power consumption. Typical battery life is ten to fifteen years. Applications include water meters, parking sensors and livestock monitoring.
