Vodafone Iceland signs deal for data centre in Reykjavik

Vodafone Iceland said it has signed an agreement with property company Korputorg and financial IT firm Reiknistofu Bankanna (RB) for the construction of Reykjavik's first data centre, to be run with IT company Opin Kerfi. It said this will be an environmentally friendly, Tier III data centre with up to 5,000 square metres in the first stage, at a cost of up to ISK 1 billion.
