Vodafone India sales affected by competition, demonetization

Vodafone reports its service revenue in India declined by 1.9 percent year-on-year to EUR 1.4 billion in the quarter ended 31 December 2016, negatively impacted by increased competition following free services offered by the new entrant and the adverse impact of de-monetisation on prepaid top-up volumes during the quarter, the company said. Compared to the previous quarter, Vodafone India's service revenue increase by 5.4 percent.
