Vodafone Italia extends 4G offer to 21 cities
Vodafone Italia announced it is extending its 4G offer to another 13 Italian cities. The inhabitants of Bergamo, Bologna, Cagliari, Catania, Ivrea, Livorno, Modena, Pisa, Reggio Calabria, Taranto, Trento, Verona and Venice will be able to browse the internet at speeds of up to 100 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload over the LTE network. The total number of cities with 4G coverage thus grows to 21, while 3G HSPA+ coverage is present in over 200 municipalities.

Vodafone Italia to charge EUR 10 for LTE access

Vodafone Italia has extended 4G connectivity to smartphones. Users equipped with a smartphone and 4G Sim can activate the offering for EUR 10 per month on top of their normal subscription and access mobile data at up to 100 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload. Free access to the service for data subscribers is available until 31 March. Vodafone Italia switched on the new LTE network in eight cities at the end of 2012, and the service will cover 20 cities by March 2013.

Telecom Italia, Vodafone Italia and Wind have come into possession of the more valuable slice of 4G frequencies, paid for at high prices during the autumn 2011 auction. Vodafone Italia extends 4G network to another six cities

Vodafone Italia announced it is extending 4G to another six cities. From 21 December, the inhabitants of Bari, Genoa, Naples, Turin, Padua and Palermo will be able to connect to the next-generation network. Vodafone brings 4G network to Rome, Milan

Vodafone Italia announced it will introduce its LTE network in Rome and Milan from 30 October. After these two cities, it plans to cover 20 cities with 4G by March 2013.
