Vodafone Italia to reimburse clients charged for hotspot use

Tuesday 24 July 2018 | 09:01 CET | News
Vodafone Italia has begun informing customers that they will be reimbursed for any charges applied when using their smartphone as a hotspot between 26 February and 20 June, reports Mondomobileweb.com. The operator announced that the hotspot service would be free to all new and existing users starting 20 June and is likely to have decided to reimburse users to avoid possible fines from communications regulator Agcom, said the report. Prepaid users will be contacted via SMS with information on how to receive a refund while postpaid users will be reimbursed directly via their next bill.
