Vodafone loses appeal against KPN takeover of Reggefiber

Vodafone has lost an appeal against the Dutch regulator ACM's decision to allow KPN to acquire all of FTTH operator Reggefiber. Vodafone filed the appeal in February 2015, after the ACM cleared the takeover in October 2014. Reggefiber was started as a joint venture between KPN and the investor Reggeborgh to roll out FTTH networks in the Netherlands. KPN gradually increased its stake until it had 100 percent. The ACM's investigation found that a complete takeover by KPN would not impact competition, as the same as KPN, Reggefiber's network is subject to access regulations. The FTTH network is
