Vodafone Netherlands achieves carbon-neutral footprint

Vodafone Netherlands said it's the first Dutch telecom provider to achieve a carbon-neutral operating footprint. Its network, shops, offices and internal systems no long contribute to climate change, the operator said. In addition to reducing its carbon footprint through measures such as sustainable energy use, teleworking and network virtualisation, the operator is compensating unavoidable emissions such as customers charging their phones through support for projects like a wind park in India.
