Vodafone Netherlands sees customer numbers, ARPU fall in Q3

Vodafone Netherlands reported service revenues of EUR 416 million in its fiscal third quarter to December, down 6.4 percent from a year earlier. Vodafone blamed the drop on fewer customers and increased competition on the business market. The company lost 25,000 postpaid and 67,000 prepaid mobile customers in the quarter, for respectively 3.806 million and 1.065 million in total. It finished 2016 with a total 4.871 million customers, down 3.8 percent from 5.064 million a year earlier. Postpaid ARPU fell to EUR 29.7 from EUR 30.8 in the previous quarter, and prepaid dropped to EUR 3.3 from EUR
