Vodafone New Zealand sees 50% mobile data usage growth in one week

Vodafone New Zealand has announced that its broadband and mobile network infrastructure will continue to be monitored 24/7 and technology platforms are being scaled up to keep customers connected during the Covid-19 pandemic. The operator reports that, over the past week, it saw a growth of up to 50 percent higher than usual mobile data usage, an uplift of 15 percent in broadband network traffic and a 70 percent increase in phone calls.
