Vodafone NL to focus more on mobile internet

Vodafone Netherlands wants to do more with mobile internet and is willing to invest EUR 250 million into giving KPN, T-Mobile Netherlands and cable operators Ziggo and UPC a run for their money. In a changing mobile landscape, selling telephony is not enough, Vodafone NL consumer affairs director Bart Hofker told De Financieele Telegraaf. The provider plans to focus on larger data bundles and apps for mobile TV. Hofker referred to mobile payment systems as the "next revolution."
