Vodafone offers fastest LTE speeds in Sydney, Melbourne

In Australia, Vodafone offers the fastest LTE broadband download speeds in Sydney and Melbourne while Telstra offers the fastest 3G speeds in both cities. In Sydney, Vodafone LTE users could download at 33.9 Mbps while Telstra users experience speeds of 20.7 Mbps, and Optus offers 18.3 Mbps LTE internet, the Sydney Morning Herald writes citing research by OpenSignal. However, Optus offers the fastest LTE upload speeds at 8.3 Mbps, followed by Telstra at 6.2 Mbps, and Vodafone at 5.2 Mbps. In Melbourne, Vodafone's LTE network showed average speeds of 36.6 Mbps, followed by Telstra's 21.3 Mbps,

the problem with Vodafone is actually getting access to those speeds - the coverage is very poor compared to Optus and Telstra and rarely can you get to those speeds
