Vodafone Spain launches HBO Espana streaming service

Vodafone Spain has launched HBO Espana, the new video streaming service it first announced in May, offering Vodafone One and Vodafone TV subscribers a lineup of over 3,000 HBO titles, including hit series, movies and documentaries. The service will be available as a separate channel on Vodafone TV and will be included in the Vodafone Total package and bundled free with all Vodafone One L, XL, Red L, Red XL and Movil L packages for two years. Subscribers to Red M and Vodafone One M will be offered 3 months’ free access, with all other customers able to access HBO Espana for EUR 7.99 a month after a free 30-day trial.

Vodafone and HBO signed the exclusive carriage deal back in May, announcing that the HBO Espana lineup would include premium HBO series such as Game of Thrones, Westworld, True Detective, Veep and Silicon Valley plus a range of films, documentaries and classic series as well as new series from third-party providers. Vodafone Spain customers can access HBO Espana via Vodafone TV, as well as on their mobile devices, tablets and PCs.

Vodafone recently announced that it reached over 1.2 million Vodafone TV subscribers at the end of September after adding 138,000 new customers in the third quarter alone to become the country’s second largest pay-TV provider after Telefonica.
