Vodafone Spain to replace Ono-Motorola decoders - report

Monday 13 June 2016 | 09:36 CET | News
Vodafone Spain is set to phase out the antiquated Motorola-branded decoders used by Ono subscribers with a view to freeing up frequencies and saving costs, reports website Neeo. A new TiVo-style device will be installed free of charge starting 16 July in parts of Madrid and Barcelona, said the report, although the new decoders may not receive the full TiVo service. Vodafone will also start phasing out old services designed for Motorola decoders, such as Ono Videoclub. The operator acquired Ono back in July 2014 and passed 1 million TV customers earlier this year.
