Vodafone sponsors Spanish esports team

Vodafone Spain has announced a sponsorship deal with G2 Esports, a Spanish esports team that competes in the national League of Legends. The team will be renamed G2.Vodafone and will compete in local Spanish events throughout the year, starting with LVP's Honor Division – the highest tier in Spanish League of Legends. The deal marks Vodafone's first foray into esports multiplayer video game tournaments, with the company describing the combination of entertainment and sports as a "natural living space" for an industry betting on high-speed broadband.
