Vodafone starts small cells roll-out in Amsterdam

Vodafone has started integrating small cells in its 4G network in the Randstad, the densely populated area in the west of the Netherlands. The operator expects accelerating demand for 4G and the small cells - tiny antennas with a reach of a few dozen to several hundred metres - will provide a denser network coverage with greater capacity. Small cells will be deployed at targeted sites to improve network performance.
