Vodafone UK confirms plan to launch broadband in the spring

Vodafone UK announced at its results presentation that it plans to launch residential broadband and TV services in spring 2015. The company will use the business fibre network it acquired from Cable & Wireless in 2012 as well as gaining wholesale access to the network of BT Openreach. Making the announcement at the group's results conference, CEO Vittorio Colao declined to say whether the company had reached an agreement yet with BT or Sky to carry their TV channels, the Independent reports. The operator already offers quad-play services in Germany and Spain. Vodafone's entry into broadband
