Vodafone UK, Huawei complete Massive MIMO trial

Monday 24 October 2016 | 10:40 CET | News
Vodafone UK and Huawei have announced they successfully concluded a trial of Massive MIMO (multiple-input multiple output) 2.6GHz TDD technology on Vodafone's commercial network in Newbury. The two partners claim they have achieved "great results in terms of spectrum efficiency and increases in network capacity". Huawei and Vodafone also report they will continue to test the technology, as they believe Massive MIMO can benefit many of their customers, particularly in areas where there are a large number of devices, such as city centers, train stations, business districts and stadiums.
