Vodafone UK is refreshing its Pay As You Go offering so that customers never pay more than GBP 1 day. It is also introducing new Vodafone Passes for pay monthly customers to use their favourite apps without eating up their data allowances.

It is offering five new Vodafone Passes for pay monthly customers. The Chat Pass costs GBP 3 a month for access to Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Viber; the Social Pass costs GBP 5 a month for access to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter; the Music Pass costs GBP 5 a month for access to Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, SoundCloud, Napster, Amazon Music Unlimited and Prime Music; and the Video Pass costs GBP 7 a month to use Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, DisneyLife, Vevo, My5, YouTube, UKTV Play and TVPlayer. Customers can also buy a Combo Pass with all four passes in one for GBP 15 a month.

The new Pay As You Go 1 plan, launching 10 November, customers will only pay for what they use up to GBP 1 a day, with calls 20p a minute, texts 20p each, and 20p for each 5MB data. After a customer reaches their GBP 1 daily spend limit, they get free unlimited calls and texts plus 500MB data for the rest of the day.

Vodafone UK is also improving insurance plans for pay monthly customers, and will now allow iPhone customers to include AppleCare Services for an additional fee. Vodafone claims it is the first telecoms operator in Europe to bundle this service with mobile phone insurance. It has also launched a next-day handset replacement across new insurance plans for all devices it offers. It is also offering a 2-year warranty on all iPhones purchased directly from Vodafone.
