Vodafone UK starts LTE-A rollout

Vodafone UK has started rolling out Carrier Aggregation, or LTE-Advanced, services in several cities to provider higher average speeds to more simultaneous users, including indoors. The operator is deploying the technology from this month in London, Birmingham and Manchester and to other cities during the rest of the year and in 2015. The service will use 800 MHz spectrum, which travels further and offers better in-building coverage, and 2.6 GHz, which is best suited for smaller areas of high population density.
