Tuesday 10 March 2015 | 09:14 CET | News
Vodafone UK is supplying 500 iPad mini phablets with 4G access to London's Metrpolitan Police Service in a trial to reduce paperwork and provide information access to frontline officers when mobile. More officers' time will be freed up to support victims and reduce crime. Several especially developed apps have been created by the Met, such as for secure access and updating of records, Mobile News reports. Police will be able to take statements from witnesses and their e-signatures at the crime scene.
