VodafoneZiggo chooses Cisco SON platform for RAN management

VodafoneZiggo has chosen Cisco's SON (self-organising network) platform for its radio access network (RAN). The Dutch operator is deploying the new Cisco SONFlex Suite, to manage all RAN technologies including 2G, 3G, long-term evolution (LTE, or 4G) and ultimately 5G.
