VodafoneZiggo chooses Ericsson for 5G mobile network equipment

Monday 9 October 2017 | 11:55 CET | News
VodafoneZiggo will work with Ericsson to increase the capacity of the Vodafone mobile network in the Netherlands. The carrier will use Ericsson's latest 5G-ready radio equipment and Vodafone's spectrum assets. The move will enable consumers to enjoy higher mobile browsing speeds while companies will benefit from the deployment of NarrowBand IoT and CAT-M1 technologies that enable support for a wide range of Internet of Things devices. Ericsson will also be the sole supplier for Vodafone's macro radio network including 5G related technology until the end of 2020.
