VodafoneZiggo, KPN prepared to share data with EC to combat coronavirus

VodafoneZiggo, KPN and other companies have said they could share user data if this could help combat the coronavirus, but only under strict conditions, Nu.nl reported. The statements come after a request from European Commissioner Thierry Breton, who called on Europe's large mobile companies to share customer meta-data so that the European Commission could track the virus spread. This could help allocate medical resources, for example.
