Voicemail left on, but few consumers actively use it

Almost all Dutch mobile providers offer voicemail as standard for both prepaid and postpaid customers. Customers who don't want to use the voicemail must de-activate it. Research by the Telecompaper Consumer Panel in January for GSM Helpdesk found that only 20 percent have turned the voicemail service off. Less than half (47%) said they listen to voicemail when receiving messages.
