VVD asks govt for update on Reggefiber takeover

Bart de Liefde, the MP responsible for telecom issues at liberal party VVD, has asked the government for an update on KPN's proposed consolidation of FTTH operator Reggefiber. In questions to the responsible minister, De Liefde asked for an explanation of the difference between wholesale access for alternative operators versus complete access, and what the preference is. The concern is whether competitors can offer the same speeds and services in a competitive market. KPN filed in June with the competition regulator for approval of the takeover.
