VW America partners Aeris for connected car services platform

Volkswagen Group of America announced an agreement to set up a joint venture with the IoT platform Aeris for managing its connected car services. The Ventic joint venture will be 51 percent owned by VW and 49 percent by Aeris. The company will focus on Volkswagen brand vehicles in North America, starting with the launch of the next generation Car-Net system in most MY20 vehicles.
