VW to develop connectivity software, vows to reinvent car

Wednesday 2 March 2016 | 11:31 CET | News
Volkswagen will reinvent the automobile, according to its new CEO, Matthiaws Mueller. He said the group will develop the connectivity features of cars at the same time as their chassis, rather than afterward. Speaking at the Geneva Motor Show, Mueller said future cars will be more efficient, smarter, more comfortable and safer than ever. French daily La Tribune writes that VW will develop the system in-house rather than working with an internet giant and wants to gain first mover advantage, including three software development centres in China, the US and Europe.
