WarnerMedia to launch ad-supported HBO Max at USD 10 per month - report

Thursday 29 April 2021 | 13:13 CET | News
WarnerMedia, part of AT&T, is thinking of launching a cheaper ad-supported version of its HBO Max streaming service, CNBC reported. The version would cost USD 9.99 per month instead of the USD 14.99 charged for the ad-free version. A cheaper version of HBO Max would be better able to compete with Netflix, whose standard price is USD 13.99 per month. AT&T expects HBO Max and HBO to have 120-150 million subscribers by the end of 2025 from a combined 44.2 million in the first quarter.
