Watchdog clears EUR 125 mln sale of Movistar El Salvador

El Salvador's competition regulator Superintendencia de Competencia (SC) has approved the sale of Telefonica's operations in the country to UK-based investment fund General International Telecom Limited without imposing conditions. In fact, the watchdog announced that the transaction requires no antirust approval on the grounds that the buyer has no existing operations in the country.
