Wearables may bring USD 12 bln to mobile operators by end 2021

Wearable devices could help mobile operators pocket more than USD 12 billion in annual service revenue by the end of 2021, following a CAGR of 36 percent between 2018 and 2021, according to a report by SNS Telecom & IT. Wearable device shipments are forecast to grow at a CAGR of 22 percent between 2018 and 2021. By the end of 2021, wearable devices will represent a market worth USD 45 billion with over 250 million annual unit shipments. In terms of annual wearable device unit shipments, the top 5 vendors – Apple, Xiaomi, Fitbit, Samsung and Garmin – will collectively account for more than 55
