Web founder Berners-Lee leads new social contract for a safe internet

The World Wide Web Foundation, a non-profit group created by web founder Tim Berners-Lee, has unveiled a 'Contract for the Web', designed to encourage governments, businesses and individuals to take responsibility for ensuring a safe internet. The voluntary commitment has the backing of over 160 organisations at launch, including web giants such as Google, Facebook and Microsoft.
