WhatsApp introduces group voice and video calling feature

Tuesday 31 July 2018 | 14:10 CET | News
Messaging app WhatsApp has officially launched group calls for voice and video a couple of months after parent company Facebook announced the feature at its F8 developer meeting. In a statement, WhatsApp said the feature has been rolled out to Android and iOS versions of the application, with up to four people in total able to take part in a group call. Users simply need to start a one-on-one voice or video call and tap the new "add participant" button in the top right corner to add more contacts to the call.
