White House plans veto of broadband price control bill

The White House has announced it would veto legislation expected to pas the House soon that would prohibit the FCC from regulating broadband prices. The 'No Rate Regulation of Broadband Internet Access Act' would prevent the FCC from regulating broadband rates, either before the fact or after via its enforcement authority, Multichannel reports. It is expected to pass the House of Representatives in a vote on 15 April. However, the President's office said he would veto the bill as it undermines key provisions of the FCC's Open Internet order, on net neutrality rules and harm the regulator's
